World preview at Mobile World Congress

Paris, France, 10 February, 2011 – Mobile Tag, leader in 2D and 1D barcode marketing solutions has extended its range of services, now offering a universal platform which integrates NFC TAG management.

Intended to complete its offering of solutions which allow ‘Quick Access’ to mobile information, Mobile Tag has  dedicated over 2 years to developing a redirection platform for NFC TAG. This solution will enable businesses, operators and agencies to manage the NFC tags used in their different communication campaigns.

The platform allows the configuration and referencing of tags just as easily as with 2D and 1D barcodes. Today’s system enables the user to:

- Link NFC tags to mobile content managed by a single platform

This functionality is already integrated with the universal reader and can be found on the latest mobile handsets due for release in the coming months.

AT&T will use technology from Mobile Tag

AT&T to Initiate 2D Barcodes Charter Program for Its Business Customers

New Program to Test 2D Barcode Scanning Across AT&T's Portfolio of Mobile Devices

DALLAS, March 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AT&T* today announced it will launch a Charter program in the coming weeks to test the use of 2D barcode scanners on AT&T mobile devices. The Charter program is being launched to test consumer response rates as well as the effectiveness of consumer barcode scanning technology as an interactive marketing vehicle.

Consumer barcode scanning represents the next generation of interactive targeted marketing, enabling advertisers to deliver relevant content and offers to consumers, as well as being a valuable and efficient tool for consumers to search for promotions and information using their mobile device. This technology can be used to scan traditional 1D barcodes, also known as UPC codes, as well as 2D barcodes.

AT&T is currently selecting up to 12 enterprise customers to participate in this charter program across key sectors including consumer packaged goods, retail, hospitality and financial services. The consumer barcode technology can be used across a variety of mediums including indoor and outdoor signage, packaging, catalogues, television, the internet, as well as traditional print and mail advertising. AT&T will use technology from Mobile Tag Inc., a provider of universal bar code reader technology.

AT&T will soon make available to consumers via download a mobile application to read the 2D barcodes on a variety of mobile devices across multiple platforms including Android, BlackBerry® and Windows®.

"We're excited to work with some of our key business clients to develop this new solution for consumer engagement, which is one of the most innovative solutions to come out of the mobile application space," said Joe Lueckenhoff, senior vice president, product management, wireline and mobility services, AT&T Business Solutions. "Our vision is to provide our business customers with the ability to reach their target customer in an interactive and direct manner, while preserving consumer choice and control over their mobile experience."

This new 2D barcode charter program will provide AT&T and its customers with a better understanding of the marketing and advertising potential that 2D barcodes offers. AT&T will work closely with customers participating in the program to measure results and participants will have the opportunity to provide feedback.

"The last decade has seen a dramatic shift in the way consumers use their mobile phones to interact with the world around them," said Michael Liard, Practice Director, RFID and Bar Code at ABI Research. "We have witnessed mobile marketing campaigns evolve from basic SMS campaigns to content-rich 2D barcode-enabled mobile applications such as mobile couponing and information delivery. Mobile barcodes can extend the marketing reach of any retailer or enterprise, serving as a permission-based way for consumers to engage directly with a company or brand."

AT&T delivers a comprehensive suite of business solutions designed to meet the diverse operational needs of manufacturers, distributors and retailers of consumer goods. Price comparator

02/09/2010

The leading universal barcode reader and price comparator on your mobile phone!

ALL IN ONE
Mobile Tag, the European leader in mobile barcode solutions, continues to innovate with the launch of its latest application: mobiletag Universal Reader and shopping.
Mobile Tag is behind the creation of the flashcode, the standard 2D barcode used by operators in France.  This type of Datamatrix barcode is used by the biggest companies in display, transportation, distribution, the pharmaceutical industry, and more.
Mobile Tag has always tried to develop new technology from the consumer's point of view, and the mobiletag Universal Reader & shopping is no exception.
The concept behind this application is to send, receive and share information and best prices to everyone and for everyone through all standardized barcodes.
Scanning a barcode with your mobile phone is simply taking a picture of it with your phone, using the mobiletag application. Mobile tag is free!

UNIVERSAL READER
For the first time, your mobile phone can scan the three international standard barcodes with a single application. Mobiletag scans 1D barcodes (EAN 13, UPC, etc.) and 2D barcodes (Datamatrix, flashcode, Fotokody, QR-Code, etc.).
2D barcodes allow you to access different content types such as video, photos, SMS, call, business cards, promotions, instant winners, and more.  These barcodes are used on every continent.
1D barcodes  are printed on almost every product sold throughout the world. Until now, these barcodes were only used at the cash register. Mobiletag has transformed this manufacturing barcode into a very practical tool for consumers.
Mobiletag is a downloadable application on all major mobile stores. One of the innovations is to offer a universal reader on Android, Iphone, Blackberry, Windows, Symbian, and more.
All of these platforms will be available in February 2010 and will be presented at the World Mobile Congress in Barcelona (15 - 18 February) Hall 2 Booth: 2G32.

Finally, a Universal reader that is truly Universal!

PRICE COMPARATOR
In addition to the Universal reader, mobiletag has developed a product price comparator. Consumers can compare the best offers from different merchants.
The price finder works on 1D barcodes.
Initially, you can compare prices offered by websites. You will then also be able to get product information from stores around you.
Get the best price and purchase products using your mobile phone, or go to the store to find your product.
Save price information that you have collected in the "History" menu or send it to your friends; you can also share it through your social networks (facebook, etc.).
You can also use the mobile tag application to create shopping lists or a price alert on a selected product. You will receive an alert informing you that a merchant is offering a product at the price you want.
There are 1D barcodes everywhere around us so scanning can become a game; however, mobiletag really allows you to save money on your purchases.

…Scan and compare prices!
