Mobiletag scans 1D barcodes (EAN, UPC, etc.) and 2D barcodes (Datamatrix, flashcode, Fotokody, QR-Code, etc.), but also compatible with the NFC tags (for compatible devices)
- 2D barcodes allow you to access different content types such as videos, photos, SMS, call, business cards, promotions, games, and more. 2D barcodes are terrific for enabling mobile users to interact with traditional media, like print (magazines, newspapers, signage)
- 1D barcodes are printed on almost every product sold throughout the world. Until now, these barcodes were only used at the cash register. Mobile Tag has transformed this industrial barcode into a very practical tool for consumers.
- NFC tags: Near Field Communication, otherwise known as NFC, is a short-range communication technology, allowing information exchange between mobile devices (with NFCchips) and NFC receivers (tags). Tags are electronic "labels".
When scanning a barcode or a tag with your mobile phone, you are automatically redirected to content formated to your mobile phone.
Several use cases are now available:
- Contact Tag : To download a business card in one click to a mobile phone !
- Web Tag : To directly access web content, videos, photos...
- SMS Tag : To send an SMS directly without having to type the text or the phone number
- Call Tag : To call a telephone number directly, without having to compose it
